Approach
I believe in an interdisciplinary approach, which includes looking at the whole of an individual's life and context. This may entail referrals for other forms of therapy (mental health, physical, occupational), testing, bodywork, psychiatry, or developing tangible supports. Of particular value to me is the interconnectedness of our minds and bodies. I believe that effective therapy requires an informed, creative, and flexible framework that is guided by the goals and motivation of my clients. I view each person as complex and unique, deserving a treatment plan that will address them as individuals.
Experience
I graduated from Wake Forest University in May 2020 with a Master's of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and completed my practicum and internship experiences at The Women's Center while spending time volunteering at a suicide crisis hotline. I finished my residency at a private practice primarily working with children, teens, and parents and have worked with a variety of adult mental health concerns. Throughout the year I complete various trainings that you may find below. Additionally, it is a priority to receive regular consultation from colleagues and other specialists to complement my work.
